Pasta Party took inspiration from Burning Man, with especial regard to the ‘GIFTING’ principle. Pasta Party is about giving to the Community expecting anything back.
If you start a Pasta Party, it must remain non-commercial, no ticketed events, no sponsorships, no influencers posing with plates for clout. Keep it real, or don’t do it.
ORIGINS MATTER
Pasta Party was born in Tokyo with the goal to foster the community.
An experiment in open cooking, shared space, and unfiltered human interaction. While you can start your own Pasta Party anywhere, remember that it traces back here.
Acknowledge the original, pay homage.
THE PRINCIPLES
1. Everyone is welcome as long as they are open minded and respectful
2.No guest lists, no VIPs
3. No more than 4 people from the same group. Pasta party is about knowing new people
4. Everybody brings something to share. A gift for a gift
5. We encourage to share the plate from which to eat among the participants
6. No disposable plates or cutlery
7. One group photo per gathering
WEDNESDAY
Pasta Party happens on Wednesday. Wednesday is not the weekend, not a warm-up, not a “going out” night. It’s a soft break in the middle of the week.
A midweek gift. A moment of presence.
DOCUMENT, BUT DON’T DILUTE
Photos, videos, stories: yes, share them. But don’t sanitize the experience.
Let the mess, the improvisation, the raw energy show. Pasta Party is to be lived in the moment, not curated.
CONNECT BACK TO THE SOURCE
If you start a Pasta Party in your town, let us know.
We want to keep the Pasta Parties network linked, not fractured, we are spread across the world but as a big interconnected Community.
Follow the original: @pastaparty.original Share your version, keep the spirit intact.
PASTA PARTY IS ABOUT COMMUNITY
You can take it, but you can’t own it.
You can share it, but you can’t sell it.
You can spread it, but you must honor the roots.
Respect the origins, Keep it wild. Boil water, break bread, be real.
